Corrugated Steel Flagpole Ground Sleeves Wisconsin
Custom Made Flag Ground Sleeves
We manufacture flag ground sleeves for any size flag pole from 6″–24″ in diameter as well as for any other types of statutes and poles, whether concrete or buried in the ground.
The most common flagpole installation method is the foundation sleeve assembly. It is fabricated from 16GA galvanized steel welded to a base plate with a square dimension at least 4″ or greater than the sleeve’s outside diameter. A 3/4″ diameter grounding spike is also welded to the base plate. Centering wedges are welded inside the assemblage to assist in flagpole alignment. A setting plate is welded to the grounding spike to provide the installer with a resting assembly method on the bottom of the excavated hole and allowing the concrete to encase the unit all together. The generally accepted industry practice calls for 1′ of the flagpole to be wrapped in the ground sleeve assembly for each 10′ of exposed flagpole height. For efficiency in vertical alignment of the shaft, the inside diameter of the sleeve should be at least 2″ larger than the flagpole diameter with the area between the flagpole and the sleeve filled with dry sand.
